What We Offer
At the present time we offer equine massage and kinesiology taping. These can be massively beneficial to any horse. The taping is non-invasive and can offer a multitude of benefits from support, increasing blood flow and aiding recovery.
Treatment Session Summary
Initial consultation will require result in a full history being taken. In accordance with the Veterinary Act 1966, any therapist will require veterinary permission prior to treatment. Please discuss this with us.
A conformation and dynamic assessments will also be carried out to ensure full suitability for treatment.
Equine treatment then consists of full body massage with a focus on any areas identified as requiring further treatment. Stretches and mobilisation. Taping as required and advice on exercises and any further recommended treatment,
Kinsio Tape
The use of kinesio tape has proven benefits with both horses and humans in promoting healing whilst providing support. This is non-invasive and suitable for a variety of people whom conventional therapy is not possible or may not have worked. This helps to promote blood flow to problem areas and thus aid the healing process.
We now use kinesio taping alongside our other treatment methods to give our patients the best treatment possible allowing for healing in its fullest form whilst allowing the maximum function to be maintained in a supported way. Use of this tape means vulnerable areas can be protected without impeding function.
